The Nerdy Teacher recently posted a blog about Idea Paint entitled, Using my @IdeaPaint on the desks #EdChat #EngChat. I had never hear of Idea Paint so my attention was immediately grasped. After some research I found that Idea Paint is a type of paint makes various surfaces white boards. This would be perfect for the classroom! The Nerdy Teacher discusses how he used it. He made every desk in his classroom a white board then at the end of a unit about Gothic literature had each student draw something, anything, shapes, scenery, etc. Without knowing what they were going to be doing he had them exchange seats where they would write a story based on the picture in front of them using elements they learned in the unit. While this assignment was used for a high school classroom, with adjustments it could work for any age group. Apart from this particular lesson, Idea Paint could be used on a variety of surfaces for a variety of purposes in the classroom.
